Young Life leaders are caring adult volunteers who invest their time and energy into building authentic relationships with high school students. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to introduce teenagers to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.

Leaders meet students where they are — literally and relationally. Through what we call “contact work,” leaders spend time in students' worlds: showing up at sporting events, school activities, or just hanging out — all to earn the right to be heard and to share the hope of the Gospel in a genuine and respectful way. Whether it’s cheering from the sidelines, grabbing coffee after school, or having a heart-to-heart conversation, our leaders are present — showing up consistently and building trust over time.

In a world where teens are constantly asking questions about identity, purpose, and belonging, Young Life leaders help them explore the direction of their lives while pointing them toward the life God designed them to live.
